Salary range: N170,000 - N 180,000 monthly

*Role Summary

The Accounts Payable Officer will be responsible for managing all payments the company makes to its suppliers and vendors. This role ensures invoices are processed correctly, payments are made on time, and all payable records are kept accurate.


*Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, check, and process all incoming supplier invoices for payment.

• Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes to confirm accuracy.

• Ensure all invoices are approved by the correct manager before payment is scheduled.

• Prepare and process electronic transfers and checks for vendor payments accurately and on time.

• Reconcile vendor statements monthly to ensure all transactions are accounted for.

• Respond to all vendor inquiries regarding outstanding payments or billing issues.

• Maintain and organize all accounts payable files and documentation.

• Assist the Accountant with month-end closing procedures related to payables.

*Key Skills & Competencies*

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail is critical.

• Good organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple vendor accounts.

• Excellent communication skills for dealing with suppliers.

*Requirements*

• Minimum of HND or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role.

• Familiarity with vendor management and payment processes.
